Professor Amira Mittermaier will lead a discussion on 2019 IIS Visiting Lecturer Brinkley Messick’s book The Calligraphic State. Professor Messick will be visiting the UofT during the week of March 4, 2019 to deliver a public talk on his newest book, Sharia Scripts, a master class on research methods, and a public lecture.
