As stated in the inaugural director’s message in September 2019, the IIS is committed to advancing the scale and scope of advanced research. This year, we began with two research labs, the Study of Islam and Muslims in Canada (SIMiC) and Between the Straits. We are pleased to announce the formation of a third research lab, Law and the Margins (CENTmar).
We extend our gratitude to Canadian Muslim leader Hussein A. Hamdani for contributing a sizeable gift to MiCA.
