The IIS is committed to advanced research, facilitating it through various endeavours. Furthermore, it is committed to leveraging the excellence of academic research to recalibrate the conversation about Islam and Muslims across a range of stakeholders, both inside and outside academia. To achieve its core mission, the IIS sponsors a range of faculty-led projects that take root locally and contribute to a more global conversation on matters of collective interest. The projects the IIS currently supports are as follows:
The Islamic Art & Material Culture Collective (IAMCC)
Muslims in Canada Archive (MiCA)
National Security Student Support Hotline (NatSecSSH)
The Study of Islam and Muslims in Canada (SIMiC)
