Archives of Muslims in Canada: Environmental Scan
Published on October 30, 2019The IIS sponsors a research group called the Study of Islam and Muslims in Canada (SIMiC). Among SIMiC’s various projects, the IIS is launching MiCA, the Muslims in Canada Archive. This report provides an environmental scan of Canada’s archival landscape, showcasing the fundamental gaps in both archival records and archival practices that render Muslims virtually invisible in Canadian archives across the country.

Canadian Muslim Health Exceptionalism—Community Consultation

Canadian Muslims: Demographics, Discrimination, Religiosity, and Voting
Published on July 18, 2021This report from the Institute of Islamic Studies’ Data Analysis Team under the auspices of our Study of Islam and Muslims in Canada Project (SIMiC). The report examines the demographic make-up of Canada’s Muslim communities. A product of an IIS hosted consultation between academic researchers and community organizations, this report provides large-data set analyses on a wide range of questions posed by community organizations.

Islam in the (Post)Colony
